My first EDD was 30th July. Then it changed to somewhere the end of August. 28th August if I'm not mistaken.

Alhamdulillah tak ada. Everyone from my mummy to my now pregnant sister takde morning sickness. It's in the genes, I suppose.

First it was cheese. Then nothing. Zufri really had it easy.

I've always wanted a girl, so when the doctor first told us that our baby's a boy, I was a bit disappointed, but later really wanted a boy. The following scan confirmed our baby's a girl! Yay!

Heh heh a whopping 15 kilos!

Some days I had really elevated blood pressure. So serious that I had to get my blood pressure monitored every other day.

Hospital Putrajaya. Lovely hospital.
20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?
Let's see. Around 3 hours.
21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?
Zufri. We actually went for our weekly checkup and discovered that I was to be induced. So drove me to hospital on Tuesday, picked me up on Saturday!

Zufri, two midwives and one suspiciously calm male Indian doctor.

Natural
24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?
Epidural for me. Was contemplating to take or not to take, then the doctor informed it was free. Definitely a no brainer

Tomorrow I'll be 27. Don't want to dwell on the negatives, but focus on the positive.
Zufri asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I said a sewing machine! Hahaha. Last year I chose a knitting starter pack as my birthday present. I got as far as the first line. Then I got stuck. Even Meredith Grey can't knit!
But really, I'm easy to please. I really want a new handbag actually. My current handbag I bought at Takashimaya almost 2 years back! Ackk! And it's been ages since my last hotel stay, so I said to Zufri all I want is to have a leisurely buffet breakfast at a hotel, the closest being Royale Bintang Damansara.
Zufri actually said OK. Hahaha. Yay! Semoga semua berjalan lancar.
I love February! And Aquarians! And Librans! Hehe.

Updates on Emma
Emma turned 6 months old last Sunday! Yay! Happy erm half-a-birthday! Heh heh. So here are some updates.
Golek-golek.
Emma golek-golek tunggang terbalik rasanya at 5 months. Lewat la sikit, but really, biarlah dia hehe. Boleh nurse kat klinik kerajaan tu komen anak aku golek lambat? Macam nak sepuk je. "oh lambat ye, takpe, kita bagi dia sampai umur 5 bulan". Eleh, kalau tak kau nak buat apa beb?
Senyum & ketawa.
Senyum ni aku rasa masa 3 bulan gitu kot. Tak ingat le. Heheh. Gelak pulak masa perjalanan balik JB rasanya in December, so I guess at 4 months. Haha serius terhibur dengar (& tengok) dia gelak. Sekarang kalau dia gelak lebih je pasti sedu. Especially bila Zufri speaking dengan dia. Haha. Zufri selalu berlakon macam dia ni Steve Irwin & Emma tu Bindi. Kesian Emma. Kecik-kecik dah kena train jadi pelakon. Kuikuikui.
Merangkak.
As of today, still nothing. She's gotten into position, and her legs have moved forward. But no co-ordination between hands and legs, so she always ends up on her face. Penat aku merangkak satu rumah, dia buat tak tau je tengok aku. Oh, dia juga tak mengesot-ngesot ke depan mahupun ke belakang. Cuma berguling-guling dari setempat ke setempat.
Solid Food.
Started her on solid folid last Sunday. She's taking well to eating solids. One extra thing to do every morning apart from expressing milk is cooking her porridge. Pediatrician kat Sg. Petani tu suruh bagi moi je. Kuikuikui. Bubur nasi OK.
Speech.
Cheh. Mana boleh cakap lagi. But makes the cutest sounds. Hahaha. Says "nananana", "mamamama" and occasionally "papapapa". Nope, no Mummy yet. Thank God no Bapak or Opah (her babysitter), either.
Sleep.
Used to sleep pretty soundly, waking up at (only) 4 am for feeding. Now she gets disturbed more easily, thus making her feed more frequently at night.
Susu.
I've been supplying Opah with 3 bottles of 5 oz & 1 bottle 3/4 oz EBM daily. Alhamdulillah, I still have enough milk for Emma. Tapi cukup-cukup je. Takde stok pun dalam fridge. Kalau tiba-tiba dia ada growth spurt habis aku.
Overall, saya rasa Emma adalah seorang bayi yang senang dijaga. Alhamdulillah. She never fails to brighten my day, no matter how crummy my day was. I love my baby with all my heart. And I know she loves me too. Hehe. Perasaan pulak.
p/s: Tak tau kenapa tak keluar gambar tapi dia punya coding aje (tak tahu apa exact term dia) pasal tu gambar sume kat atas. Arrangement tak tepat.

My Perfect Jeans
Ahh. This long vacation is proving to be so much fun! Followed Zufri to Putrajaya today and spent the whole afternoon in Alamandaa. Tau, sana takde banyak benda. But look at what I got for myself! So proud of myself, hehe.
Mari mari, aku bercerita pasal perjalanan seluar jeans ku.
Aku jenis orang yang susah dan cerewet bila tiba bab seluar jeans. To me, you're spending so much, you should be getting what you want. And what flatters you. I always end up trying jeans that are too tight at the thighs, because they are humongous! Or really nice back there, but too loose at the waist.
I think it was around 2004. I had these really tight pair from Abercrombie & Fitch. At only around RM69.90, they were a steal! But since I didn't have anything perfect, so I sort of played the field between them and my other jeans.
In 2005 (kot) I got myself my 'Perfect Jeans' from FCUK. I wore them to death. I'm like that. I don't two-time my perfect jeans. We were exclusive. Even borrowed money to get them. Heh heh. Pinjam kat kredit Anies. See? Aku pinjam dan bayar bulanan. Heh heh. But they were size 29! I've always worn 28, nothing less. Sheesh. Betapa hebatsnya derriere aku hahaha.
But look at what's happened to them! The ripping on the thighs I can do with, but at the crotch? Aw, man! Bukan tak pernah jahit, siap hantar kedai lagi. Tapi lepas tu koyak balik! Siap sekarang pakai pin lagi! I still wear them to work on Casual Fridays, just so you know.
But as mentioned before, selepas melahirkan, punggungku semakin meleper. So it means only my super tight A&F jeans fits me snugly. Remember my previous post when Emma puked all over me? Right. So while I was window shopping today, my super nose kept picking up this awful scent. Yup. Haha I didn't freaking wash my jeans after the puking fiasco! Hohoho. Serius jijiks. Tapi sedangkan air kencing Emma pun hanya najis Mutawasitah (ek?), inikan pula muntahnya? Ah lagipun pada aku, taik Emma pun berbau manisss je gitu. Heh heh.
So anyways, bukan aku tak pernah jalan-jalan cari jeans. I'm no brand snob, but I'm no walkover either. There are some brands that I will never wear. Semua jeans yang aku rasa lawa, and those that I can afford I have tried. Satu pun tak kena dengan aku. Perasaan bila aku pertama kali mengenakan 'Perfect Jeans' ku dan semua jeans yang lain sangat berbeza.
But I have found it. In size 28 some more! I read somewhere to always buy 1 size smaller because jeans expand, but my thighs refuse to let size 27 in. Of course my belly hangs above the waistline. Gila. Kalaula masih zaman high waisted jeans, memanglah aku tak beli jeans baru. See I refuse to wear a size 30. Sorry.
So there. I decided to splurge RM150 (murahkan? Original price was RM339) for my second pair of perfect jeans. See, to me RM150 is a splurge already. Of course to some RM50 is already a luxury, but you get my point. I seriously never ever thought I'll ever find my 2nd pair, but Alhamdulillah. At a time when I have money in my hands, aku telah dipertemukan dengan sesuatu yang aku kira sempurna. Here's to four years of great fun!
Ok. Here's Emma with the snow cap that I didn't intend to get her. Wanted to get her the one from Baby Poney, but bought this from Marks & Spencer instead. Benci kan? Kalau nak beli barang untuk aku kan, mesti aku fikir ratusan kali. Kalau untuk Emma, benda takde kepentingan (macam snow cap ni le) pun rasa macam harus je beli. In the blink of an eye.

Poor Baby..
Alhamdulillah, received my bonus on Friday. Honestly, with the kind of hours I've been working, with the kind of work I've been producing after having Emma, I'm surprised I even got one! No increment upon confirmation, though. Hahaha ye kawan-kawan, after 13 (!) long months, akhirnya confirmed jua. Alhamdulillah.
That night itself we drove up north to Sungai Petani. Sungguh kasihan sang Emma. Everytime she nursed, she threw everything up! (Picture shows a weak Emma after a change of clothing at Sungai Perak R&R) 3 times along the journey and once again when we reached SP. Then when we took her to a pediatrician in the morning, she threw up 3 times more at the clinic. I was so worried that she might be dehydrated because when I changed her diaper, it was practically dry. So when I mentioned it to the doctor, he said to get her admitted if we were worried. Called Syat my insurance agent (plus ex-roomie) who said Emma's Medical Card is still not enforced (or is it in-force ek?) so heh heh we decided to leave it for one more day.
Then I gave her her medicine. Waited 30 minutes then nursed. Then when I gave her the fever punya ubat
, she threw up all over again. So I decided to just give her the meds for vomitting. Turns out I was right. Somehow she reacted badly to the fever medication.
Alhamdulillah, she's all better on Sunday. Tapi badan dia dah tak sekejap (pejal) dulu. All happy and smiling.

We're back in KJ now. I'm on leave the whole week. Besok nak ikut Zufri pergi Putrajaya, nak jalan-jalan kat Alamanda. Nak belikan Emma snowcap. Haha. Zufri kata nak pergi Cameron Highlands weekend Thaipusam nanti. Tak taula jadi ke tak. Saja nak prepare. Heh heh.
