My Sundays

2 weekend yang lepas aku jadi sebahagian rombongan pengantin lelaki pada majlis perkahwinan ibu mertuaku punya adik ipar punya anak buah. Hahaha. Sangat tak ada kaitan dengan aku. Oh, di Senawang ye. Agak jauh. Dan cuaca semalam agak panas. Nikah pagi dan sanding tengahari. Jadi antara nikah dan sanding tu kami melepak di surau tempat nikah tadi tu.

I was wearing my new baju kurung, made by Madukara hehe. Very nice. But I didn't take any picture.

Anyway, motif aku bercerita ni ialah nak mengatakan yang abang pengantin ni sangat suka kat Emma. Aku ngan Zufri memang sangat relax semalam pasal Firdaus ni lah yang jaga Emma sepanjang hari. Sampai aku nak menyusukan Emma pun takde time. Hehe. Asal aku amek Emma balik je, dia hulurkan tangan balik nak amek Emma balik. Dia ikut Emma merangkak satu surau. Emma pun ada orang layan dia, seronoklah.

Lalu bila rombongan pihak lelaki melangkah ke rumah pengantin, here's Emma.

Sheesh. Tidur pulak. Muka macam Lee Kuan Ewwwwww pun ada.

Then on Sunday, Emma and I just chilled at home while Zufri played some golf. Yes, that's right. He's into golf now. Even tunes in to the Golf Channel in lieu of the usual Discovery. Sigh. Well at least he's getting some exercise, and we all know just how much he needs one. Or at least one thousand. Hehe.

The point is, usually when Zufri's hitting 'em balls, it's a girls day out. Seronok berjalan berdua dengan Emma ni, pasal dia tak cakap banyak dan bila dia penat dia tidur. Hehe. The furthest we've been to together was Puduraya to pick Papa up. Macam ni cerita dia. Come gather around. A few Sundays back, after sending Zufri to the diriving range at Bandar Utama, we went to OU. Stayed there until around 5, then we drove up to Puduraya. Aku memang kalut, padahal bas Papa sampai pukul 7. So with an hour to kill, I decided to take Emma to the National Monumet a.k.a Tugu Negara.

I've never been there before, so I didn't know it closes at 6:00. Sangat mengecewakan. I know Zufri would never believe me when I tell him that I took Emma there, so I took some pictures. But I couldn't take a picture of Emma with the monument because who would hold her, right? And I'm not the type of person who walks up to a stranger and asks that person to take a picture of me. Buatnya dia lari dengan kamera aku macam mana? (Note to self : Should have more faith in others)

And here's a picture taken after my birthday dinner. Cuba tengok sikit Adam tu. Macamla perut Kak Peachy dah besar sgt sampai kepala dia harus begitu.

From left to right is Kak Yen (who wants to be called Tante Yen. I suggested Mak Yen, hehe), Emma carried by Abang Sany (The Sun to us, who would like to be called Om Marlon), Zufri (Mamu, kuikuikui. Kak Yen even calls him Mams for short), the 27 year old (Adam calls me Gigi. I don't mind at all), Rizzqin carried by Papa (the usual Atuk and sometimes Pops, Poppy Doo. He's 61 this year. Aku sayang bapak aku. Although I don't think I ever told him that. Except in birthday cards. Malu lah. Wakakaka), Adam (hensem kan? hehe) and Kak Peachy (Aunty Peachy. Yeah. She's straight like that. Wakakaka). Tiada dalam gambar is Pipi (Aunty Pipi. Also Pipi Doo), Abang Emil (kui kui kui only to his face. Behind him it's Emilzers. Or Ims. Adam calls him Uncle Memel) and finally Aunty Rani, Papa's wife. Hahaha macam kejam je kan. My step-mom. Will post a picture of her as soon as I have one.

Emma & Elmo

A few weekends back, the lot of us went to Singapore to cure a pregnant lady's craving for Newton Circus' steak tulang. Delicious, I tell you. Terubat segala rasa kerinduan. The place is so different now.

Habis merah-merah jari semua. Over minah ni. Heh heh.

Haih, I'm not in the mood to write lah. Haven't had the mood for a long time. So enjoy the pictures, OK!

My instincts told me to pee on a stick. Actually 8 of em sticks. Hehe. The first 7 were inconclusive. Very light.

Zufri. Naturally.

Yes.

9. DUE DATE?
My first EDD was 30th July. Then it changed to somewhere the end of August. 28th August if I'm not mistaken.

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS?
Alhamdulillah tak ada. Everyone from my mummy to my now pregnant sister takde morning sickness. It's in the genes, I suppose.

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE?
First it was cheese. Then nothing. Zufri really had it easy.

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST?
Can't think of anything/anyone. I was a seriously happy pregnant lady

Girl

I've always wanted a girl, so when the doctor first told us that our baby's a boy, I was a bit disappointed, but later really wanted a boy. The following scan confirmed our baby's a girl! Yay!

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY?
Heh heh a whopping 15 kilos!

16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER?
No :(

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW?
Not applicable!

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?
Some days I had really elevated blood pressure. So serious that I had to get my blood pressure monitored every other day.

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Hospital Putrajaya. Lovely hospital.

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?
Let's see. Around 3 hours.

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?
Zufri. We actually went for our weekly checkup and discovered that I was to be induced. So drove me to hospital on Tuesday, picked me up on Saturday!

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Zufri, two midwives and one suspiciously calm male Indian doctor.

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?
Natural

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?
Epidural for me. Was contemplating to take or not to take, then the doctor informed it was free. Definitely a no brainer

27. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH?
2.92 kilos.

28. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN ?
1st August 2008

30. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER?

7 months 3 days! Yay!

Tomorrow I'll be 27. Don't want to dwell on the negatives, but focus on the positive.

Zufri asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I said a sewing machine! Hahaha. Last year I chose a knitting starter pack as my birthday present. I got as far as the first line. Then I got stuck. Even Meredith Grey can't knit!

But really, I'm easy to please. I really want a new handbag actually. My current handbag I bought at Takashimaya almost 2 years back! Ackk! And it's been ages since my last hotel stay, so I said to Zufri all I want is to have a leisurely buffet breakfast at a hotel, the closest being Royale Bintang Damansara.

Zufri actually said OK. Hahaha. Yay! Semoga semua berjalan lancar.

I love February! And Aquarians! And Librans! Hehe.

p/s : I'll be on leave tomorrow. Emma's babysitter ada medical checkup.

Updates on Emma

Emma turned 6 months old last Sunday! Yay! Happy erm half-a-birthday! Heh heh. So here are some updates.

Golek-golek.
Emma golek-golek tunggang terbalik rasanya at 5 months. Lewat la sikit, but really, biarlah dia hehe. Boleh nurse kat klinik kerajaan tu komen anak aku golek lambat? Macam nak sepuk je. "oh lambat ye, takpe, kita bagi dia sampai umur 5 bulan". Eleh, kalau tak kau nak buat apa beb?

Senyum & ketawa.
Senyum ni aku rasa masa 3 bulan gitu kot. Tak ingat le. Heheh. Gelak pulak masa perjalanan balik JB rasanya in December, so I guess at 4 months. Haha serius terhibur dengar (& tengok) dia gelak. Sekarang kalau dia gelak lebih je pasti sedu. Especially bila Zufri speaking dengan dia. Haha. Zufri selalu berlakon macam dia ni Steve Irwin & Emma tu Bindi. Kesian Emma. Kecik-kecik dah kena train jadi pelakon. Kuikuikui.

Merangkak.
As of today, still nothing. She's gotten into position, and her legs have moved forward. But no co-ordination between hands and legs, so she always ends up on her face. Penat aku merangkak satu rumah, dia buat tak tau je tengok aku. Oh, dia juga tak mengesot-ngesot ke depan mahupun ke belakang. Cuma berguling-guling dari setempat ke setempat.

Solid Food.
Started her on solid folid last Sunday. She's taking well to eating solids. One extra thing to do every morning apart from expressing milk is cooking her porridge. Pediatrician kat Sg. Petani tu suruh bagi moi je. Kuikuikui. Bubur nasi OK.

Speech.
Cheh. Mana boleh cakap lagi. But makes the cutest sounds. Hahaha. Says "nananana", "mamamama" and occasionally "papapapa". Nope, no Mummy yet. Thank God no Bapak or Opah (her babysitter), either.

Sleep.
Used to sleep pretty soundly, waking up at (only) 4 am for feeding. Now she gets disturbed more easily, thus making her feed more frequently at night.

Susu.
I've been supplying Opah with 3 bottles of 5 oz & 1 bottle 3/4 oz EBM daily. Alhamdulillah, I still have enough milk for Emma. Tapi cukup-cukup je. Takde stok pun dalam fridge. Kalau tiba-tiba dia ada growth spurt habis aku.

Overall, saya rasa Emma adalah seorang bayi yang senang dijaga. Alhamdulillah. She never fails to brighten my day, no matter how crummy my day was. I love my baby with all my heart. And I know she loves me too. Hehe. Perasaan pulak.

p/s: Tak tau kenapa tak keluar gambar tapi dia punya coding aje (tak tahu apa exact term dia) pasal tu gambar sume kat atas. Arrangement tak tepat.
